Emerging artist, Dominant Dansby, shares his vision and art process with art dealer and curator, Roger C. Tucker III. Dansby's unique collage series is deeply influenced by his relationship to jazz and architecture and communicating through the exchange of energy.
This series is created from a variety of papers and other media, including recycled drawings from his multimedia studies of drapery and wood, continues to evolve. An intense focus on process - combining texture, dimension and energy - led him to this series, which reflects work that is more physical, natural and rawer than his earlier works of drawings when he was a student at the School of Visual Art in New York. Recent works by Dansby will be on display.
Dansby's artwork has been exhibited at the N'Namdi Contemporary art gallery in Miami during Art Basel, Miami Beach and galleries throughout northern New Jersey.
